Talchum Park (Mask Dance Park) 탈춤공원
Andong · Downtown & Old Market · Sights
This broad riverside park is the main stage of the annual Andong Mask Dance Festival. Outside festival days it turns into a quiet lawn with oversized mask sculptures, benches and a river path, and children run about freely. On the far bank you can see Yeongnu Pavilion (Yeongholu) and the hills behind it.
The park stands beside the former station building and close to the grill restaurants, so it joins several old-town stops. During the festival, stages, booths and performances fill the space from morning until night, with international groups joining Korean teams, so check dates if you plan to attend. Entry is free.
It is 15 minutes' walk from Jjimdak Alley, beside Jungangseon 1942 Andong Station. A city bus or taxi from the KTX station takes about 10 minutes. (Show a driver: 탈춤공원)
