Osan-ri Prehistoric Site Museum 오산리선사유적박물관
Yangyang · Yangyang Town & Namdaecheon · Museums & exhibits

Pottery and tools found at Osan-ri show that people lived on this shore thousands of years ago, and the museum explains how they fished, gathered shellfish and built homes. Indoors you can see small, simple objects that are nonetheless remarkably old, and outdoors there are reconstructed pit dwellings that you can step into. Programmes such as pottery or fire-making sometimes run, but they may require registration, so ask.
The museum is air-conditioned and educational without being heavy, which suits wet days or a break from the beach. Admission is expected to be free, but check current terms, and note it is closed on Mondays.
From Yangyang town it is a short drive toward Sonyang-myeon, and the museum has its own car park. Bus options are limited, so a taxi works. (Show a driver: 오산리선사유적박물관)
