Namdaecheon Salmon Eco Park 남대천연어생태공원
Yangyang · Yangyang Town & Namdaecheon · Parks & nature

Namdaecheon is a stream where salmon return each autumn, and the eco park follows its lower banks with flat paths, boardwalks and small viewing decks. It is an easy, wheelchair-friendly walk that works for parents, families and solo travellers alike. In late autumn the reeds turn gold and the water takes on the colour of the sky at dusk.
In other seasons you can watch egrets and ducks, and the sea is not far from the river mouth. There are benches, a cafe nearby and a quiet atmosphere compared with the beaches. The park is free.
Bring a hat in summer because shade is limited.
By car, use the park's lot on the riverbank in Yangyang town. It is about a short taxi ride from Yangyang Bus Terminal. (Show a driver: 남대천연어생태공원)
