N Seoul Tower and Namsan N서울타워·남산
Seoul · Myeongdong & Namsan · Night view
Namsan is the green hill in the middle of Seoul, and N Seoul Tower sits on its summit like a lantern. Most people take the cable car from the Myeongdong side, while the more energetic climb the stairs and forested paths. The tower base has a terrace with the famous love padlocks and a wide view, and the indoor observatory is the ticketed part.
Going up shortly before sunset lets you see Seoul in daylight, at dusk and after dark with a single visit. On the hill you will also find souvenir shops, small restaurants and a plaza where performers occasionally appear. Wind can be strong on the terrace in winter.
Fees and operating hours may change.
Myeongdong Station (명동역), Line 4 Exit 3, leads to the cable car stop, about ten minutes uphill. Namsan loop bus 01 runs from near Chungmuro Station (충무로역) on Lines 3 and 4.
