Han River Ramyeon and Convenience Store Picnic 여의도 한강 라면·편의점 피크닉
Seoul · Yeouido & Han River · Meal
Cooking instant noodles from a convenience store beside the Han River has become one of Seoul's best-known small pleasures. At the riverside stores, you choose a pack of ramyeon, pay, and cook it in a self-service machine that fills it with hot water. Add a triangle gimbap or a fried egg, carry the bowl to a bench or mat, and eat as the lights come on over the water.
It is cheap, informal and quick. Some shops sell mats and drinks. Bins are provided, but please take your trash to them.
The experience is best on a mild evening. Stock and machines may differ by store, and hours may change.
Yeouinaru Station (여의나루역), Line 5, Exit 3, is the nearest. The convenience stores are inside the park near the pier.
