Samjinae is the heart of Changpyeong, a Slow City village whose lanes are lined with old stone walls and hanok houses, some of them registered as heritage properties. It is a living village, so you walk quietly among homes, small shops and workshops. The route is flat and easy, and the stone walls frame good photos.

Locals make rice taffy and traditional sweets here, and a small market sells snacks and soup. Entry is free. Hanok stays and experiences are offered, but plan ahead.

Dogs on leads are generally fine outdoors. A single loop can take an hour and a half. Be respectful and keep your voice down.

Getting there

By car about 25 minutes from Damyang town. Intercity buses stop at Changpyeong, but timetables are sparse; check ahead. Park in the public lots near the village. (Show a driver: 삼지내마을)
