Samunjin Ferry Landing 사문진나루터
Daegu · Duryu & West Daegu · Sights

This riverside ferry landing on the Nakdong River is where the first piano reportedly arrived in Korea around 1900, carried in by a missionary. A short, flat riverside path leads past a rebuilt tavern village, a small history display and a boat pier, and in spring the banks fill with flowers. The area is peaceful and informal, a good spot for a stroll and a meal.
There is no entry fee. Cruise boats sometimes operate, and seasonal events appear on weekends, though schedules vary. Plan for transport in advance, because buses are infrequent and taxis may be hard to find on the way back.
Take Subway Line 1 to Hwawon Station, then a bus of about 15 minutes or a taxi. A public lot is at the landing. (Show a driver: 사문진나루터)
