The ARC (Gangjeong-Goryeong Weir) 디아크

Daegu · Duryu & West Daegu · Sights

SightsPhoto spotsNature & parksNight viewsOutdoorPet-friendly

Where the Geumho and Nakdong rivers join, a bold building shaped like a skipping stone sits beside a river weir, forming a cultural center with an observation deck and exhibits about the river. The grounds are open and free, with plazas, bike paths and a floating bridge walkway that gets busy at sunset. At night, the building lights up and reflects in the water.

Cafes sit nearby, but there is little else, so bring your own plan. Public transport is slow, and a taxi or rental car makes the trip far easier. Exhibition rooms may have separate hours, so check before entering.

Getting there

Take Subway Line 2 to Gangchang Station, then a bus of about 20 minutes, or go by taxi or car; there is a lot at the plaza. (Show a driver: 디아크)
